IG Sindh to be removed, says Governor Sindh Imran Ismail
KARACHI February 22 (News Inspection) Sindh Governor Imran Ismail Monday has once again made it clear that the governor will not rule in the province despite this fact that all kinds of bullying is taking place in Sindh through the police while Inspector General (IG) Sindh seems to be failing in his duties; therefore, he requested the Prime Minister to remove IG Sindh from his post.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, while addressing a press conference on the issue of torture in jail against Haleem Adil Sheikh, sharply criticized the Sindh government.
He said that the attitude of Sindh government reminded him of the era of Altaf Hussain who wanted to rule Karachi through thugs. “All kinds of hooliganism are taking place in Sindh through the police; subsequently, the province has been made a no-go area.
He accused IG Sindh of political affiliation and said that he was failing in his duties and a letter is written to Prime Minister about the prevailing situation in the province. He said SSPs are ready to do anything for their transfer and promotion.
Governor Sindh also said that he was telling all the institutions that you have to work for the state and avoid playing at the hands of some political parties.
