Chief Justice orders to check the degrees of police officers all over the country
ISLAMABAD February 19 (News Inspection) The Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed ordered to check the degrees of police officers across the country.
The court order said that all IGs should verify the educational credentials of the officers and personnel.
Presiding over the meeting of the Police Reforms Committee, Justice Gulzar Ahmed said that the IGs should have the power of transfer to remove unnecessary pressure.
On the occasion, the Chief Justice directed to keep in view the court decisions to differentiate between terrorism and ordinary cases and also to avoid unnecessary arrests in controversial cases.
The Chief Justice stressed the need to enhance the investigative capabilities of police officers.
During the meeting, the IG Punjab said that there was a problem with the ban on purchase of vehicles.
On which the Chief Justice said that the ban has been imposed only on luxury vehicles. Police officers should eliminate unnecessary use of government vehicles.
The Chief Justice remarked that the reputation of the police can only be improved by the conduct and conduct of the officers.
