Syria seizes nearly 700m captagon pills since Assad regime fell

After the fall of Bashar Assad's regime in late 2024, Syrian authorities have seized nearly 700 million captagon pills, along with significant quantities of other drugs. The Drug Enforcement Department dismantled 90 trafficking networks and strengthened cooperation with regional countries to combat drug production and trafficking, as Syria has become a major hub for captagon distribution.
