According to details, the Pakistan Super League started with the opening ceremony on February 20, followed by the first match between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators at the National Stadium in Karachi.

The songs for the opening ceremony were pre-recorded in Turkey and were made part of the opening ceremony. Social media reactions to the opening ceremony were mixed, with some liking it and others disliking it.

Some said it was a concert-like experience rather than a PSL opening ceremony, but some expressed frustration that the singers just lip-synced instead of singing.

The ceremony was very short and some singers performed only parts instead of full songs.

Some people disliked the graphics used for the event but people definitely liked Atif Aslam’s performance. In fact, some social media users said that Atif Aslam has brought together fans who support different teams. Singer Imran Khan and actress Hamaima Malik were also the center of attention.
