Addressing the gathering, Chief Justice LHC Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan said that immediate justice must be given to the oppressed and needy.

“Times have changed and now educated and economically strong people are turning to the courts for justice,” he added.

Where the respect for the courts ends, there comes a bloody revolution,” he said.

Chief Justice Lahore High Court said that giving undue date in cases should be avoided.

The reader should not be blindfolded and given a date of two and a half months. If a judge is not found to be performing his duty properly, action will be taken against him in accordance with the law.
