The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has officially unveiled the schedule for the Super Round and Placement Round of the U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup 2026 in Sincelejo, Colombia. After a dramatic conclusion to the Opening Round, the top six teams from across the globe are ready to clash for the world championship title, with the action kicking off today, April 30.
Advancing to the Super Round are the top three finishers from each group. From Group A, Japan and New Zealand progressed with identical 4-1 records, joined by Czechia (3-2). Emerging from Group B is the powerhouse Australian squad, who finished group play as the only undefeated team at 5-0, along with Mexico (4-1) and Venezuela (3-2).
The Super Round features cross-group matchups, meaning teams will now face the qualifiers from the opposing group. The highly anticipated schedule will see history made, as both Czechia and Venezuela make their first-ever Super Round appearances at the U-23 level. Meanwhile, the teams that did not advance—including Canada, Argentina, Denmark, Singapore, Colombia, and South Africa—will compete in the Placement Round to determine the 7th to 12th place standings.
