Severe humanitarian crisis in Ethiopia, 2.3 million citizens urgently need help
ETHIOPIA April 27 (News Inspection) The United States has expressed concern that the ongoing armed conflict in Ethiopia’s northern region of Tegrai could exacerbate problems such as hunger, unrest and human rights abuses in the African country.
According to a foreign news agency, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressed this concern in a telephone conversation with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abi Ahmed.
So far, more than a million people have been displaced.
The United Nations estimates that about 2.3 million people are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance.
