ISLAMABAD April 28 (News Inspection) President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that Pakistan’s climate and flora are conducive to the production of high quality honey.
The beekeeping sector has great potential to provide employment and earn foreign exchange.
The government will provide loans under the Successful Youth Program to encourage and facilitate beekeepers.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of President Dr. Arif Alvi on the promotion of the beekeeping in Pakistan.
Addressing the meeting, President Dr. Arif Alvi said that modern methods of beekeeping should be adopted to increase the production and quality of honey
The President said that the government’s 10 billion Tree Tsunami Program would help improve the environment for honeybees breeding.
He said the government will take the relevant stakeholders into confidence and resolve their issues besides providing them all available support for increasing honey production and exports.
