Following Chief Minister Punjab direction, LWMC kicks off Sanitation Week


LAHORE: On the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Lahore Waste Management Company kicks off sanitation week starting from Thursday to Wednesday 17th of June, 2020.

Managing Director LWMC Muhammad Aslam Rao chaired an important meeting at LWMC headoffice to successfully carry out sanitation week in the city.

The meeting was attended by officials from Wasa, Turk Contractors, PHA, MCL etc. MD LWMC directed that department will ensure effective cleanliness situation across the city with equal level of sanitation condition in all areas.

 MD LWMC stated that department will use all possible and available resources to effectively carry out sanitation week and to provide efficient cleanliness services at every nook and corner of the city, he said that throughout the week whole cleanliness operation will be strictly monitored with zero tolerance.

 He added that with a strong communication with all allied departments this sanitation week can be a successful one. Muhammad Aslam Rao emphasized that department will perform its best but without the prompt cooperation of the public its next to impossible to maintain cleanliness, citizens must cooperate with LWMC and avoid disposal of solid waste improperly.
