Domestic worker killers on remand


RAWALPINDI:June 10, The local police after a through investigation arrested the couple allegedly involved in the murder case of an eight-year-old domestic worker. The police was taken the accused to Lahore after a judicial magistrate remanded for DNA test.

The police produced the culprits before the court of civil judge Mohammad Hanif on completion of their physical remand and the police investigating officer requested the court to grant three-day transit remand as they wanted to take the couple to Lahore for the DNA testing.

Police said it had been decided to conduct a polygraph test, forensic analysis of mobile phones and voice testing of the suspects during remand custody.Police said the DNA, voice sample, polygraph tests and mobile phone analysis would help police get solid evidence in the case.

Asad Bukhari, legal adviser to the parents of the maid, told journalist that the couple will be driven to Lahore for the DNA test as the chemical examiner’s laboratory was located in Lahore.

He said the police had also asked the father and grandfather of the girl to come to Lahore to see on their own that police were fulfilling all legal requirements needed to strengthen their case.
