Body of man swept away in Rawalpindi's Leh Nullah recovered

RAWALPINDI: The body of a man who was swept away while crossing Leh Nullah in Bahria Town’s Phase IV on Wednesday was found by Rescue 1122 crew after more than four hours of effort. A spokesman for Rescue 1122 said the man, aged 32, was swept away in Leh Nullah while crossing it. After the incident was reported, Rescue 1122 divers and six emergency vehicles were dispatched to the scene to start the rescue operation. During the operation, the missing man’s body was recovered from Leh Nullah near Pirwadhai Bridge, Dhoke Dalal Road. Later, the body was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem.
