After death of 3 Pakistani sailors, FO says Pakistan will implement maritime coalition 'in full earnest'

The Foreign Office (FO) said on Wednesday that Pakistan would implement the multinational maritime defence coalition “in full earnest”, after the deaths of three Pakistani sailors in strikes by Houthi rebels on a Saudi cargo ship on Tuesday. Last month, Saudi Arabia unveiled plans for a defence coalition to protect shipping and energy supply routes in the Red Sea region. The coalition was supported by 14 countries including Pakistan, Turkiye and Egypt in a joint statement.
