Flash floods wreak havoc in Siran Valley, Balakot

MANSEHRA: Flash floods triggered by cloudburst during a fresh spell of monsoon rains wreaked havoc in Siran Valley and Balakot on Sunday, damaging houses, hotels and roads in several areas. “The Kunhar and Siran rivers, along with local streams, swelled to dangerous levels. Several houses, hotels and roads were damaged, posing a serious threat to nearby settlements and stranded tourists en route to Kaghan valley,” the district emergency officer of Rescue 1122, Ibrar Ali, told journalists.
